I am a Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach passionate about guiding individuals toward healthier lifestyles. My mission is to empower you to make sustainable behavior changes that improve health outcomes.
I approach Health Coaching from a very personal place. Through my journey, I have lost more than 100 pounds. I know what living in a larger body feels like and not knowing how to change.
I am here to help you develop healthy lifestyle habits that can improve your health outcomes. Achieving this is possible—you can do it! Regardless of your age or current ability, success is within reach.
I specialize in assisting individuals with all forms of diabetes, including pre-diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, and Type 1 diabetes. My goal is to help you increase your insulin sensitivity, enhance your metabolic functions, and thrive in your everyday life!
The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is an evidence-based, year-long lifestyle change program that helps participants at risk for Type 2 diabetes adopt sustainable, healthy lifestyle choices and achieve weight loss. The program is brilliant, but it has its limitations.
Due to its affiliation with the CDC, there are stringent requirements for joining a local Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) group. This can be a significant limitation. In reality, many individuals—whether pre-diabetic, Type 2 or even Type 1—can benefit from adopting these lifestyle changes. Since I am not reporting to the CDC, I have the flexibility to open my program to anyone interested in prioritizing healthy lifestyle choices.
Everyone is welcome to join my program. You do not need to be diagnosed with pre-diabetes to be eligible. Additionally, if you are living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, you are also welcome to participate. Many people experience the effects of insulin resistance, and this program is designed to help reverse those impacts. I believe it is important to ensure that anyone who can benefit from this program is included.
Like a traditional program that builds healthy habits one step at a time, we do the same. We focus on dietary choices—what you eat and how you eat it—along with your movement, stress response, and sleep habits.
When these four areas are balanced, we are set up to thrive in nearly every area of life.
This is not a prescriptive program. I am not a medical professional. I am a behavior change specialist. I encourage everyone to communicate with their health team about participating in any program.
